Discover Your National Park

Celebrating National Parks Week

A child reaching out

Thursday 6 August 2009

A day of walks and activities in and around the New Forest Centre and the historic Queen's House.  Take part in craft activities, see the Verderers' Court, find out about the wildlife of the Forest and much more.

A joint event with the New Forest National Park Authority and the Forestry Commission.

In 2009 we are celebrating 60 years since the National Parks and Access to the Countryside Act 1949, which set-up the creation of National Parks and Areas of Outstanding Natural Beauty.

Admission to the Museum will be FREE so come along and join in our fun children's activities and find out about the National Park.

Margaret Armand Smith will also be here to sign her new children's book 'One Sun, One Moon, Two Stars'.  This gripping adventure story is based in the New Forest and is all about children travelling through time.
